In the spring of 2023, I sat on my kitchen floor and made a big collage for my second baby. Using my hands, relishing the freedom of not overthinking, and making decisions guided by the sheer delight of what felt fun. The tactile and spontaneous nature of making that collage gave me new energy that I was desperately looking for.
Illustration and painting once was a huge part of me and it had been many years since I picked up a brush. All of those feelings led me to spend this past fall immersed in making more collages. I was inspired by the endearing theme of sweet animals dressed up in outfits reminiscent of my children's early years.
I’ll be opening an online shop this spring with art prints and original collages that I hope will bring others joy as well.
